About the GAD-7

The Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) was developed by Spitzer et al. (2006) and is used by clinicians worldwide to screen for and measure the severity of generalized anxiety disorder. A score of 10 or greater is the recommended cutpoint for further evaluation. This is an educational screening tool — not a clinical diagnosis.
