BehavioralHealthGuide.org is a free provider directory operated by Change LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Change LLC is the data controller for purposes of this Privacy Policy. We collect minimal information necessary to operate the site:
- Search queries: We may log search terms (specialty, location, insurance) to improve search quality. These logs do not include identifying information.
- Usage analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (page views, geographic regions, device types). We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics that builds individual user profiles.
- Provider claim forms: When a provider submits a profile claim, we collect their name, NPI, license state, and email solely for verification purposes.
- Crisis resource pages: We do not collect any information from visitors to our crisis resources pages.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or sell:
- Personal health information about visitors
- Names, email addresses, or contact details of people searching for providers
- Payment or financial information
- Sensitive personal information of any kind
3. Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary for the site to function (e.g., remembering search preferences within a session). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
4. Third-party services
Provider data is stored in Supabase (a secure, SOC 2 compliant database). Font files are served from Google Fonts. We do not share any user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. HIPAA notice
BehavioralHealthGuide.org is a provider directory, not a covered entity under HIPAA. We do not transmit, store, or process protected health information (PHI). We strongly encourage users not to include health information in search queries or contact forms.
6. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
